Get to know one of Prague's unmissable sights, where you can find St. Vitus' Cathedral, the Royal Palace, St. George's Basilica and the famous Golden Lane.
Visit Prague Castle
At the indicated time, we'll meet at Hradčanské náměstí 2 (in front of the Schwarzenberg palace), avoiding the morning rush and taking a short ride up to the castle. Our skip-the-line entry means we'll dive right in, and start exploring the most important complex in the city!
A trip to Prague without visiting the castle would simply be incomplete. This tour takes you around the world’s largest ancient castle complex, starting with the St. Vitus Cathedral. This incredible example of Gothic architecture is home to the tombs of numerous kings of Bohemia and Holy Roman Emperors.
Then it's on to the old Royal Palace, where you'll learn of the "defenestrations" (literally throwings out of the window!): the flashpoint that sparked the Thirty Years' War throughout Europe.
Having seen St. George’s Basilica, one of the only surviving Romanesque churches in Prague, the tour heads to Golden Lane - home throughout the centuries to alchemists, goldsmiths and other artisans, and even for a time Prague's most famous son - Franz Kafka.
Finally, after between 2.5 and 3 hours, we'll bring our tour of this essential Prague landmark to an end.
Old Royal Palace Temporary Closure
From September 4 to October 1, 2026 (both dates included), the old Royal Palace will undergo renovations due to the exhibition of the Czech Crown Jewels:
- September 4-17: the Old Royal Palace will be completely closed. Instead, the guided tour will take visitors through the Royal Garden.
- September 18-28: the Old Royal Palace will be open to the public and tourists as an exhibition space for the crown jewels, so we will follow the usual itinerary.
- September 29-October 1: the Old Royal Palace will be closed again, and the tour of the Old Royal Palace will be replaced by a tour of the Royal Garden.
The total duration of the tour and the admission fee remain unchanged. The rest of the monuments in the complex (St. Vitus Cathedral, St. George’s Basilica, and the Golden Lane) will remain open and can be visited as usual.
